Tierney and Chris’ engagement session was one for the books. Not only does Chris have a pretty cool name (ha!), but their engagement session locations was pretty great, too!
We got started at Nemours Estate in Wilmington Delaware, which is a very beautiful mansion and garden area. Once they loosened up some, we were able to have some fun and play some games to get some natural interactions.
We then left to go to Gibraltar Gardens in Wilmington, Delaware which is about 10 minutes away. We played around with more creative photography at Gibraltar since we were fighting sunset.
For their engagement session, Tierney wanted to have a more elegant vibe to their engagement session. It’s not every day that you get professional couple pictures so I loved the style that she had envisioned for the overall aesthetic of our time together.
I’m so glad she went this route for their session because I personally think their session turned out to be a real WOW factor.
Tierney and Chris actually met through an online dating app. Soon, after talking back-and-forth they found out they actually had some mutual friends. This allowed them both to feel a bit more at ease with one another. Once Tierney was home for the holidays, her and Chris had their first in-person date. It was on this date they realized that this could be their last first date.
For their first date, they went to dinner followed with drinks at a local bar so Chris could actually introduce Tierney to some of his friends. Tierney shared how nervous she was before the date, but all those jitters quickly went away. Then, as if their first date couldn’t have been anymore perfect, as they left the bar that night, it began to snow. Talk about a Hallmark movie!
They officially started dating in January of 2015 and got engaged this past June. And while Chris had a proposal planned for while they were hiking in front of a waterfall, he opted out because of the crowd and as Tierney says he almost fell in the water. She didn’t know he was going to propose that day though so she didn’t think nothing of it.
The next day, Chris showed up to her house with a bouquet of flowers and proposed to her on her front porch, just the two of them. It was perfect.
Tierney and Chris are getting married at Penn Rynn Estate in the Philadelphia area in 2023. They also opted to do two engagement sessions, so we will be doing another one in 2022. I’ve learned that Tierney loves getting her photos updated while Chris isn’t so excited for it. Ha!
