Bellevue Hall Wedding | Emma & Allan’s Romantic Celebration

Emma and Allan’s Bellevue Hall wedding was the kind of day that makes you fall in love with weddings all over again. The golden light. The emotional ceremony. The way they ran barefoot through the field at sunset, holding hands, laughing, just so purely excited to be married.

We were lucky to capture both photo and video for this wedding, and it was one of those rare days where everything aligned—gorgeous weather, a fun and easygoing couple, and a whole lot of heart. As a Delaware wedding photographer and videographer, this is the type of wedding that reminds me why I do what I do.

A Sentimental Ceremony in Front of Bellevue Hall

One of my favorite parts of this day was the ceremony itself. Set just in front of the historic Bellevue Hall mansion, the scene was elegant yet relaxed—classic hydrangeas, soft dusty blue tones, and a family-centered atmosphere.

Emma’s godmother, Kimberly, officiated with words that honored loved ones who couldn’t be there, including Allan’s late mother and Emma’s grandparents. It was heartfelt, personal, and grounding—like everyone present was part of something sacred.

Sunset Magic and Unscripted Joy

As the sun began to dip, we snuck Emma and Allan away for a few quiet moments—just them, newly married, soaking it all in. They kicked off their shoes and sprinted into the field, laughing like kids. That moment? That’s what I live for.

We got this beautiful golden light that wrapped around them like a film still from a Nancy Meyers movie. It was playful, romantic, and full of that just-married energy. These sunset portraits were some of our favorites all year.

The Dance Floor Didn’t Disappoint

Emma and AJ’s reception was all about connection and celebration. From heartfelt toasts to a packed dance floor, the energy never let up. Their focus wasn’t on the usual traditions — instead, it was about being fully present with their favorite people and soaking in the joy of finally being married. The sunset portraits were especially magical — a glowing field, the two of them running hand-in-hand, completely in their element. Honestly, it was a perfect ending to a perfect day.
