When Kelci told me that they wanted to have a sunset beach engagement session, I was ready for an amazing time! The conversation was quick between us to narrow down the location to Cape Henlopen State Park’s beautiful beach. With the ease of being able to start on the ocean side and then with a short walk getting to enjoy the beautiful sunset on the bay side is almost too good to be true. As a result of high summer temperatures, we did squeeze our sunset engagement time a lot tighter than usual as we did not want to have them both dripping in sweat during their session, but they brought their A-game and we have a stunning gallery to deliver to them!
Get to know Kelci + Collin
Kelci and Collin both played sports in high school and were introduced to one another by a mutual friend. I’m talking like 2012 here. I mean it when I say it, these two are great together. After making it through high school, Collin’s plans changed and he ended up at the same college as Kelci. Throughout those college years together, their relationship continued to grow and blossom. Their combined love for the beach and baseball, as well as trying new restaurants and breweries provides them plenty to enjoy together. Collin asked Kelci to marry him this past October and although Collin might deny it, I’m told that both Kelci and Collin shed some happy tears together.
What’s next?
We are less than a year away from Kelci and Collin’s summer wedding at Bear Trap Dunes and I can’t wait! For now, we will savor what’s left of summer. As a result of our recent beach sessions, I’m feeling the need to spend more time on the sand before summer turns to fall!
