Spring Family Photography Session in Historic Odessa, Delaware
One thing I’m not good at is writing blog posts, although it’s great to share more details about sessions, weddings, and other shoots as well as the thought process and planning behind them.
That said, the Russell family is a fun group to spend some time with. Part of the family has recently landed in Delaware after retiring from the military. When the rest of the group traveled to Delaware to visit, they wanted a photo session of everyone together. One branch of the family flew in from Oregon with their little four-legged family member, Jackie, while the other group came up from Arizona. For those of you that do not know me too well, I love to travel and both of these states rank high in my favorites.
Regardless of how often I photograph an area, I always like to arrive before my clients and walk the grounds to see what it’s like for our session. This helps to know which way the light is shining, what flowers are in bloom, where to start our session, as well as where to avoid. By doing so, I was able to find an area of Historic Odessa that I have never seen in bloom before. It was great to find a new area with wildflowers in bloom to spend some time in during our session.
Below are a few of the highlights from our session – I hope you enjoy!
