For their waterfront wedding ceremony, Maribeth and Chris couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day at Rehoboth Beach Country Club. Coming from weeks of high temps and humidity, they were blessed with great weather. Their Rehoboth Beach Country Club wedding led off with the ceremony overlooking the water, followed by formal portraits, and continued on to a night full of fun. All of this while surrounded by loved ones who were ready to celebrate their marriage.
Their story
Maribeth and Chris met on the National Mall in Washington DC on the very day that Maribeth moved to DC. Maribeth’s roommate played on an intramural softball team and was in need of another girl. Being Maribeth’s first day in DC, she agreed to fill in and went to the game without even unpacking her car. Little did she know, that she would meet her future husband there. After about a two-year close friendship, they took the plunge and went on their first date.
Their first date was a hike to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain followed by some live music with wine at an area vineyard. Still today, they share a love for trying new restaurants with some good wine and/or cocktails.
On October 3o, 2021, Chris asked Maribeth to marry him. With so much time spent at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club, it’s understandable that their engagement would take place here as well. Inviting the family to the Country Club for lunch wasn’t abnormal, so Maribeth didn’t think anything of it. When Chris proceeded to get down on one knee and pop the question, Maribeth didn’t hesitate with a resounding “Yes!!”.
Being invited into Maribeth’s and Chris’s circle of close friends and family was such a great time. Everyone was a blast to be around and we were sad to see the evening come to an end. Chris and his crew were so wonderful to work with. From our very first chat months before Maribeth and Chris’ big day, right up until we said good night. They moved about as if they were guests at the wedding never intrusive when getting that perfect picture. They captured the day perfectly!!
